What is a Food & Beverage (F&B) minimum?

A food and beverage minimum requires a minimum amount of what must be spent on food. It does include cash bar purchases as well.

Is The Opal handicap accessible?

Yes!

Where do we park?

There is minimal onsite parking, but a plethora of off-site parking nearby and street parking.

Are outside foods allowed?

Cakes and packages snacks are allowed as long as they are from licensed vendors.

Is there a guest count minimum?

Nope! Whether it's 25 people or 220 people, we will make it work.

Can we bring in our own decor?

Most definitely! We want your wedding day to look and feel exactly how you want it to. We do offer centerpieces if wanted. 

Are we able to taste the food offered on the catering menu?

Yes! A complimentary tasting is included with every wedding booking. 

Is there a cake cutting fee?

Yes, it is $2 a slice.

What type of events are typically held here?

We mostly have a mix of weddings and specialty events!

Are there nearby overnight accommodations?

The nearest overnight accommodation is The Olive Ann Hotel located about 0.7 mi away.

Can we chose our own layout?

The layouts that we recommend are the round-table layout and classroom style. We find these layouts are best suited for the space.

What is the average budget of a couple getting married at The Opal?

On average, between 5k-8k.

Do you have high chairs for kids?

Yes! 

Are we able to tour the venue?

Absolutely! We want everyone who is interested in booking with us to come tour our space, free of charge.

Is there anything I should do before I tour the venue?

We do recommend having an estimated guest count

and preferred date, but it is in no means required!

Is a seating chart recommended?

We require a seating chart if you are offering multiple different dinner options and have over 100 guests. This is so we can give your guests the best experience and it will help ensure your event runs seamlessly. It is still recommended if you are doing buffet or family style meals, but is not required.
